Recently my skin has been having a bit of a freakout, most likely due to stress but whenever this happens I try and take my skincare routine back to basics. One thing I do notice that makes a big difference is using natural products, that don't contain harsh chemicals that strip the skin causing me to breakout further. The Ren Skincare range is one I'm familiar with and their face masks, body oils and body washes are some of my all time favourites - especially the Pore Invisible Pores Detox Mask (review here).
The No1 Purity Cleansing Balm works in the same way as a hot cloth cleanser like Liz Earle's Cleanse & Polish. I rub a little together in my hands, massage the balm into my face avoiding the eye area, let it sink in for a couple of minutes and wash away with a cloth soaked in warm water. As I mentioned before the balm is very moisturising and being rose infused it smells so relaxing as well as not leaving that tight feeling on the skin.
It does manage to remove the majority of my face makeup in one go but one big drawback is it doesn't remove eye makeup which adds an extra step in the routine. Normally opting for 'do it all' products I let that slide as this was such a cult product for me mainly for the way it left my skin feeling - amazing smooth and silky!
Best for: Sensitive skin girls that are looking for a luxury cleanser
Ren No1 Purity Cleansing Balm is £30 for 100ml and is available from SpaceNK here and Selfridges here.
Have you ever tried any Ren products?
