Whenever I talk about my favourite makeup removers Bioderma Crealine H2O is always up in the top of my list but I always feel so terrible about recommending it as being a french brand it's so impossible to get hold of in the UK. The reason why I love it is simply it doesn't strip the skin, leave that tight feeling and it just a simple scentless water thats oil infused to help breakdown the makeup. There are alternatives from other brands that are available more easily in the UK (like in Boots) that do the same like La Roche Posey and Caudalie both of which I've tried and enjoyed but didn't think they were as good.
This Works is a natural brand that I'm really loving at the moment, my latest love being this Clean Skin 5 in 1 Water. As soon as I found out it contained rosewater I was sold, especially after my obsession with rosewater toners! (link to post here) As well as containing other natural plant oils to soothe and cleanse. Overall making great for sensitive skin girls like myself.
Despite the price tag I'm going to make a pretty bold statement and say I definitely prefer it to Bioderma, especially for removing makeup and in particular eye makeup. It feels a lot more cleansing and fresh on the skin, has a pleasant natural scent and leaves my skin feeling cleansed as opposed to tight or with an overlay of oil. Also a slight packaging preference in packaging as it's easier to use the pump in conjunction with cotton pads to remove makeup.
Next onto what it does best - removing eye makeup. Let me just mention that sometimes, I wear a ton of eye makeup which can be a bit of a process to remove, especially since I don't want to rub and tug at my eyes (skin is as thin as a rose petal there!) I just soak a cotton pad in 5 in 1 Water and let it sit on my eyes, patting the cotton pad for about 20 seconds which just lifts everything off! Amazing! It does sting if you get it in your eyes but I don't mind as it's unbelievable for removing hefty eye makeup!
Best for: Removing eye makeup (avoid getting it in your eyes!) & sensitive skin
