Oh, the morning after the night before. This post will re-occur many times this upcoming couple of weeks, I can assure you. Wake up only to be greeted by puffy eyes, dehydrated skin and what looks like quite a few new lurkers...fantastic!
1. Hydate hydrate hydrate - Vita coco is a perfect refreshing drink or if all else fails - water. Speaking of hydration skin needs some too, Sisley Express Hydration Face Mask is perfect for an instant boost, especially as it's clear so hiding in the bathroom isn't necessary and an even bigger plus - makeup can be applied on top. Or if I'm feeling clever Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask (post here) will be slapped on the night before.
2. Every Little Helps! A quick shot of Faust's Potion to add something exciting to the routine from their Asleep & Awake Hangover Cure. Their Awake shot contains a list of Vitamins that's almost as long as my arm and taste like oranges. A fresh cure that takes the bla out of hangovers and doesn't taste like drugstore vitamins? Yes please!
3. De-puff those bags - I went into my puffy eye SOS routine in full detail here, but Skyn Iceland Hydra Cooling Eye Gels are ridiculously easy to use and feel refreshing on the eyes. I'll be handily leaving these on my bedside table for ultimate lazy mornings.
4. Sort out hair - there's just one word for this - dry shampoo, preferably one that doesnt have an overwhelming scent, something like TresEmme Instant Refresh Volumizing Dry Shampoo.
5. The makeup - My top three products that look natural and fake those extra hours in bed?
- Rimmel Scandal Eyes Liner in Nude along the waterline
- Daniel Sandler Watercolour Blush in Flush is the perfect natural glow that looks as though I've just taken a stroll through the park (and it's ridiculously easy to apply)
- Concealer! Kevin Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer is a current favourite as it's unbelievably pigmented and covers absolutely anything.
For covering blue toned bags Bobbi Brown Corrector has been doing the trick, despite it's terribly thick formula and being quite hard to blend, it does a decent job of covering. Nothing lifts eyes like curling lashes, a quick grip with Shu Uemura Eyelash Curlers followed by some light reflective concealer from Sisley and I'm just about looking as good as new. Just.
