Vaseline Vitalising Body Gel Oil £4.89 Boots
A tip I heard recently when complaining that my perfume didn't last on my skin was skin dry which gave me a little kick into starting my winter skin routine... this includes more face oils, deeply hydrating body creams and a lot of hand balm. Starting off with the body something different found it's way into my Boots basket, Vaseline Cocoa Radiant Vitalising Body Gel Oil.

As far as moisturisers go it's got all the boxes ticked. Easily absorbed? Check. Light and non-sticky? Check. Smells incredible? Check. Prepare to be seduced because this stuff may be £4.89 but it feels seriously luxe on the skin. It's texture is unlike the standard body moisturiser, it's a gel but as it gets massaged into the skin turns into an oil and leaves a light film on the skin which I adore. Think  L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil but much less. Despite being light and easily absorbed the oil texture keeps skin hydrated and dry patches at bay.

On a side note don't let the words Cocoa put you off, the scent isn't half as intense as Palmer's Cocoa Body Butter and is much less sweet. Intrigued to try?

I've dabbled here and there in other body moisturisers but none of them seem to have everything that Kiehl's Creme De Corps does...

As my skin is less dry in summer I tend to put the intensive 24 hour body moisturiser away and bring out a lighter one. I look for moisturisers that don't interfere with my tan, aren't sticky so I'm not lying in bed being unable to move but also have a lighter texture as I don't need such hydrating properties in summer.

It's not heavily scented which is great as it doesn't interfere with my perfume. I normally apply it after showering onto damp skin, wait a couple of minutes for it to be absorbed (really fast!) and then get dressed.

Kiehl's always have the cutest bottle designs too! The one above is a celebrate Britain theme and starts at £8.50 and £1 goes to SportsAid. 500ml will keep you going a while too but there are also smaller travel sizes available.

Have you ever tried Kiehl's Creme De Corps? What's your favourite body moisturiser?

My body oil collection recently expanded thanks to this latest release from Caudalie. Moisturising is something that I try to make happen on a daily basis, especially in summer and I do prefer to use body oils as opposed to moisturiser as in general they sink into the skin faster and smell nicer! If you've tried or loved the Nuxe Multipurpose Dry Oil this is definitely something to check out - smells basically the same, like summer in a bottle! Really moisturising and absorb a little faster than the Nuxe. I absolutely love using body oils in the summer to give my skin some glow and radiance as well as really moisturising. When I've been sitting in the sun and skin and hair is looking a little parched I just run this through my hair with my hands as it smells amazing and it really nourishing.
The bottle isn't very travel friendly and I can see it causing a leaking in the suitcase situation but it's definitely one to keep on the dresser!

You can purchase Caudalie Divine Oil for £25 at SpaceNK here or Feel Unique here
